Update 2026-03-02 (7): According to the latest reports, the Israeli military issued evacuation warnings on Monday night (2 March, local time) for dozens of villages in southern Lebanon, as it intensified operations against Hezbollah. Several explosions were heard in southern suburbs of Beirut on Monday evening (2 March, local time), amid strikes targeting dozens of Hezbollah sites, including facilities linked to Al-Kard Al-Hassan, and hitting a building near the Al-Mayadin television station.

Update 2026-03-02 (6): The target of the attacks on Monday afternoon (2 March, local time) were facilities of the financial services provider Qard al-Hassan, which is linked to Hezbollah.

Update 2026-03-02 (5): Shortly after the announcement of further attacks in the south of Beirut, the Israeli military launched the next wave of attacks. There were several explosions in the suburbs.

Update 2026-03-02 (4): According to the latest reports, Israel has again announced air strikes in the south of Beirut, Burj al-Barajneh. Residents should evacuate selected buildings in the district within a radius of 300 meters.  According to Israeli reports, the head of Hezbollah’s intelligence service was killed in an air strike on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Lebanese government has prohibited Hezbollah from carrying out further attacks on Israel. Israel had stationed troops on the border with Lebanon.

Update 2026-03-02 (3): According to the sources, dozens of people were killed, while over one hundred others were injured on Monday (2 March) in Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs and areas of southern Lebanon, as Israel warned it would intensify attacks following Hezbollah rocket fire.

Update 2026-03-02 (1): According to the sources, Israeli forces launched a wave of strikes across Lebanon on Monday (2 March), including in Beirut’s southern suburbs, after Hezbollah attacked in retaliation of the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
