Update 2026-06-10: According to the latest reports, several security officers were injured on Tuesday night (9 June, local time) during the violence, after a petrol bomb was thrown at officers responding to anti-immigration unrest. Rioters threw bricks and other projectiles, burned a truck and clashed with security officials near Sandyknowes roundabout near Newtownabbey. Security officials deployed water cannon to disperse hundreds of protesters. At least one person was detained on Wednesday (10 June).
