Update 2026-06-11: Violent unrest continued for another consecutive night in the Glengormley and Newtownabbey area on Wednesday night (10 June, local time) after hundreds of protesters gathered in demonstrations linked to migration issues. Protesters attempted to breach lines made by security officials and reach the Chimney Corner Hotel, which is being used to accommodate asylum seekers, leading to clashes. Security officials also deployed water cannons and formed cordons with armoured vehicles to prevent access to the hotel, while some masked individuals reportedly lit fires and threw bricks at officers.
