Update 2021-08-12: According to information from the Federal Foreign Office on Thursday (12. August), depending on the region, Germany is classified as “green” or “orange” by Belgium. Travellers from a high-risk area within the EU/ a Schengen state must go into quarantine for 10 days and have a COVID-19 test on the first and seventh day of quarantine. Fully vaccinated travellers are exempt from both quarantine and testing. Travellers from a high-risk area outside the EU/Schengen area need a COVID-19 PCR test no older than 72 hours or an EU COVID certificate. They also need to go into quarantine for 10 days and COVID-19 tests are also due on the first and seventh day of quarantine. However, in this case, no exemptions apply for fully vaccinated travellers.
