Update 2023-02-01: According to reports, the railway strike on Wednesday (1 February) will occur at the same time as strikes in other sectors, including the education sector and the civil service sector. It has been reported that Wednesday may be the biggest strike day in a decade. At least 124 government agencies are striking, along with at least 14 rail operators. It has been reported that most rail services have been suspended throughout the country. Countrywide protests are expected to be held alongside the strikes.
