Update 2023-10-30: According to reports, the joint operation of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army that began on Friday (27 October) in Shan was still ongoing as of Monday (30 October). Dozens of junta camps have been seized during the operation, and hundreds of casualties among junta troops have also been reported. The joint forces claim to have full control of Chin Shwe Haw and are working to take control of Hseni. Further attacks, including by other rebel groups, have been reported from Mandalay, Sagaing, Magwe, Bago, and Tanintharyi. Additionally, several civilians were killed and several further injured following junta shelling against Kin in Magwe on Sunday (29 October). Several further villages in the area also experienced shelling.
